Saghmosavank

Saghmosavank is a monastery in the village of the same name, part of the Ashtarak municipality in Aragatsotn province. Its main structure, Saint Sion church, was built in 1215. Over time the village itself has appeared under several recorded names — Sagmosavan, Sagmosavank, Saghmosavank — referring to the same place.
