The Sergey Parajanov museum is a house-museum in Yerevan built around the life and work of Sergei Parajanov, the Soviet Armenian film director whose visual art ran alongside his cinema. It's consistently ranked among the most-visited museums in the city, and it presents his output as one continuous artistic and literary project rather than splitting film from fine art.

The museum traces back to 1988, opened in the wake of the first exhibition of Parajanov's work shown in Armenia, which had been organized at the State Museum of Folk Art. That show revealed the scale of what he'd made outside his films, and the museum grew out of the interest it sparked.

It sits on Dzoragyugh street (15-16), in the Dzoragyugh quarter west of central Yerevan. The museum is open daily, 10:30 to 18:00.

The museum is inside Yerevan itself, in the Dzoragyugh quarter roughly 1 km west of the city center — a city-museum stop rather than an out-of-town trip.
