Shushana Monastery

Shushana Monastery — also recorded as Shushanik church — stands on the left bank of the Akhurian river, close to its mouth, near Bagaran village in the Armavir region. Historical sources place it opposite St. Theodoros monastery, on the same stretch of the river.
The site falls within Arsharunik, a district of the old Ayrarat province of Greater Armenia. Nothing further about its founding or present condition is recorded.
