SOAR Armenia

SOAR Armenia — Society for Orphaned Armenian Relief — is the Armenia-based branch of a nonprofit founded in 2005 to provide humanitarian relief to Armenian children and families. The organization says it now operates through 150 chapters worldwide.

Its programs include child and family sponsorships (the organization reports over 400 active), plus direct aid distribution — it states more than $17 million has been distributed since 2014. SOAR also runs a mobile eye care van, which it says has served 6,051 patients, and a dental clinic, with 3,982 patients served.

The organization has also organized the "I CAN" Special Olympics event, with a 2026 edition held June 1–3. Gyumri's city administration has recognized SOAR's work with an award, according to the organization.

SOAR Armenia is based in the Yerevan area, roughly 6 km north-northeast of central Yerevan in a straight line, within Kotayk marz.
