SOCIETY FOR ORPHANED ARMENIAN RELIEF - ARMENIA

Society for Orphaned Armenian Relief (SOAR) runs child and family sponsorship programs, a mobile eye care van and a dental clinic for Armenian children and families, operating in Armenia since 2005 under local chairman Hripsime Muradyan. The organization describes itself as a network of 150 chapters worldwide.

By its own count, SOAR has supported more than 400 child and family sponsorships and distributed over $17 million since 2014. Its mobile eye van has treated 6,051 patients and its dental clinic 3,982. The group also organizes the "I CAN" Special Olympics event, with a 2026 edition scheduled for June 1-3.

The mayor of Gyumri presented SOAR with an award recognizing its work assisting children and families in the city.
