Surb Anna Church

церковь Сурб Анна · Սուրբ Աննա եկեղեցի

Surb Anna Church is a parish church in the village of Malishka, dedicated to Saint Anna (mother of the Virgin Mary). It went up in 2000, paid for entirely by one benefactor, Ara Arshavir Abrahamyan.

Catholicos Garegin II of All Armenians consecrated it on November 4 that same year. An inscription on the building records both facts — the 2000 construction date and Abrahamyan's funding — naming Garegin II's patriarchate as the period of its founding.

Surb Anna Church stands in Malishka village, part of the Yeghegnadzor area of Vayots Dzor region, roughly 90 km east-southeast of Yerevan in a straight line.
