Spitak

Spitak rises on the northern slope of the Pambak mountains in Lori province, about 4 km northeast of the village of Lernants (Լեռնանցք). Its elevation is recorded at 2,320 m.
A separate feature sharing the name, Spitak Pass, crosses the same Pambak range at 2,378 m, carrying the M3 highway between Aragatsotn and Lori provinces. Sources don't establish that this is the same point as the peak.
Spitak lies in Lori province, near the town of Vanadzor, about 71 km north-northwest of Yerevan (straight-line).
