St. Hovhannes Church (Dyrnys)

Церковь Святого Иоанна (Бердак) · Սուրբ Հովհաննես եկեղեցի

St. Hovhannes Church was an Armenian apostolic church built on a hill at the center of Berdak, a village in the historic Goght gavar (county) of Vaspurakan province. The site now lies within the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan, near the present-day village of Dyrnys.

The church no longer stands. It was completely destroyed sometime between 1997 and 2000, and a mosque was later built where it had stood.

The site sits in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan, near the village of Dyrnys, roughly 182 km southeast of Yerevan as the crow flies.
