Stepanavan Professor A. Kalantar State Agricultural College

Stepanavan Professor A. Kalantar State Agricultural College traces back to 1929, when it opened as the Livestock-Veterinary Technicum. In 1946 the institution was renamed for professor A. Kalantar, a scientist.

The college now runs departments covering zoo-veterinary studies, general education subjects, technical subjects and economics. Programs on offer include tourism, greenhouse economy, farm (household) management, agricultural machinery operation and repair, dairy and dairy-product technology, management, accounting, transport organization, veterinary studies and dairy-farm management, with some tracks available through correspondence study.

The college is headed by director Ara Chobanyan and keeps its own library and a career-support center for students.

The college is in the town of Stepanavan, Lori region, roughly 92 km north of Yerevan in a straight line.
