Surp Bogos Bedros Church

Surp Bogos Bedros Church dates to the 5th century and stands on the left bank of the Aparan reservoir, on a slope, in Aragatsotn region. Architecturally it's noted as the first known example in Armenia of the domed-hall church type — a design that pairs a rectangular hall with a central dome.

Beyond its age and form, little else is documented about the site.

The church sits near Aparan, in Aragatsotn region, roughly 37 km north of Yerevan as the crow flies.
