Syunik DMO

Syunik DMO is a destination management organization based in Goris, coordinating tourism information for Syunik region and its sub-regions — Sisian, Goris, Kapan and Meghri. It lists museums, guesthouses, hotels and places to eat across the marz.

On its own site the organization points visitors toward sites such as Zorats Karer, a Bronze Age settlement site, and the petroglyphs (rock carvings) reachable by climbing Mount Ughtasar. It also notes surviving weaving and carpet-making traditions in some Syunik communities, along with craftspeople working in stone, khachkar (carved cross-stone) carving, wood and pottery.
