Tarakan

Таракам · Թառակամ

Tarakan is a peak of the Gugarats (a mountain range in northern Armenia), reaching 1,711 meters in the range's middle stretch, between its northern and southern ends. It sits in Lori marz, roughly 12 km southeast of the village of Tsaghkashat.

The name appears in Armenian as Թառակամ, which transliterates closer to "Tarakam" — the form "Tarakan" is the one in common use.

Beyond its height and position, there's little else on record: no marked trail, no visitor infrastructure noted.

Tarakan lies in Lori marz, about 12 km southeast of Tsaghkashat village, and roughly 115 km north-northeast of Yerevan as the crow flies.
