Монастырь Тежаруйг · Թեժարույգի վանք
Tejharuyk Monastery is a walled 12th-century Armenian complex set on a wooded hill just southwest of Meghradzor village in Kotayk province. It was built between 1196 and 1199, commissioned by Ivane I Zakarian, a commander of the Armeno-Georgian Zakarian family who had converted to the Georgian Orthodox Church.
His vassal, Prince Bubak, and Bubak's heirs are buried in the gavit (entrance hall attached to the church).
Tejharuyk Monastery sits in Kotayk province, on a hill southwest of Meghradzor village, roughly 48 km north-northeast of Yerevan in a straight line.
