Todor (Bazumtar)
Базумтар · Բազումթառ
Todor, also recorded as Bazumatar, Bezobdal, Bzovdal, Bzovdara or Dval, is a 2,796-meter summit in the Bazumi mountain range, in Armenia's Lori region. It sits 5 km southwest of the village of Pushkino. Part of its slopes carry forest cover.
At the base of the mountain, traces of an old settlement can still be made out. Nearby is an opening that cuts into the mountain itself — known as the Vormaka Door (a rock passage into the slope). Some connect this name to an older, now-unused name for the peak: Vormak.
Todor (Bazumtar) rises in the Bazumi range in Lori region, near the town of Stepanavan and 5 km southwest of the village of Pushkino. It lies roughly 85 km north of Yerevan in a straight line.
