Tsulasar
Цуласар · Ցուլասար
Tsulasar tops out at 2,555 meters, making it the highest point along its ridge in the Shirak mountains, on the border between Lori and Shirak regions. It sits about 3 km south of the village of Kaqavasar.
The peak is built from Paleogene and Neogene volcanic-sedimentary rock. Its slopes are steep and cut through by ravines, with a mountain-meadow landscape covering the upper ground.
Several streams trace their start to Tsulasar's slopes: the Topar, a left tributary of the Chichkan river, off the western side; the Ayladzor river to the south; and Lusaghbyur, a left tributary of the Pambak river, from the southeastern slope.
Tsulasar lies in Shirak region, about 3 km south of the village of Kaqavasar, roughly 90 km north-northwest of Yerevan in a straight line.
