The Tufenkian Charitable Foundation is a nonprofit based in Yerevan, founded in 1999. James Tufenkian, who had spent the 1980s and 90s using business as a tool for economic and social change abroad, set it up after deciding that market-driven work alone couldn't fix the hardships he found in Armenia.
The foundation groups its programs under three headings: resettlement, development, and resilience. It doesn't spell out specific projects or numbers beyond these categories. Gregory Bedian is the director.
