Tumanian garden
Парк Туманяна · Թումանյանի այգի
Tumanian garden sits on the right bank of the Hrazdan river, wedged into the gorge between the Great Bridge of Hrazdan and the Tumo Center for Creative Technologies. It opened in 1970, timed to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Hovhannes Tumanyan, the writer and poet the park is named after.
Halabyan Street marks its western edge; the riverbed itself closes it off to the east. Locals often just call it "Tumo park," a nod to the tech center next door rather than to Tumanyan himself.
The park lies in Yerevan's Ajapnyak district, on Halabyan Street along the Hrazdan river gorge, roughly 3 km west-northwest of the city center (straight-line).
