Ughtaqar (also called Devedash) rises to 2,861 meters at the eastern edge of the Kotayk-Aragatsotn regional border, within the Pambak mountain range. The peak sits about 3 km east of the village of Mijnatun.
From its summit, the Tsaghkunyats mountains extend to the southeast.
Ughtaqar stands in Aragatsotn region near the town of Aparan, roughly 58 km north of Yerevan as the crow flies.
