Vardenis Mountains

Варденисский хребет · Վարդենիսի լեռներ

The Vardenis Mountains run about 60 km along the southern edge of the Sevan basin, in Armenia's Gegharkunik region. Mount Vardenis, the range's high point at 3,522 m, gives the chain its name.

A section of the Armenia–Azerbaijan border follows the ridge line itself, making this stretch of mountains a boundary as well as a landform.

The range sits in Gegharkunik region, east-southeast of Yerevan, roughly 77 km away in a straight line.
