Ver Var

Ver Var runs an indoor climbing wall in Yerevan, split into bouldering, top-rope routes and a separate training area. The gym describes itself as built around community as much as climbing — beginners get a guided trial, regulars get memberships.

A trial class costs 3,000 AMD: 1.5 hours, safety briefing, gear included, six climbers max. From there, pick a day pass for 4,000 AMD, punch cards of 4 or 12 visits, or unlimited access by the month, three months or year — the annual plan runs 300,000 AMD, with equipment not included. Group classes for adults and kids run 6,500 AMD for two hours, capped at eight people, with per-class savings on blocks of four or twelve. Private and semi-private coaching is also on offer.

Hours run 15:00 to 23:00 on weekdays, 12:00 to 21:00 on weekends and public holidays. Classes need booking ahead. Walk-in climbing without a coach doesn't.

Ver Var is in Yerevan; by straight-line distance it sits about 1 km south of the city center.
