Yeghvard reservoir

The Yeghvard reservoir was conceived as a large water-storage project in Kotayk province, with an intended volume of up to 90 million cubic meters. Work started in 1983 but was not completed, and the site remains in an unfinished state today.

Unlike Armenia's operating reservoirs, this one has no confirmed function or public infrastructure attached to it in available records — it's essentially an interrupted engineering project rather than a developed destination.

The site lies near the town of Yeghvard in Kotayk province, a short drive north of Yerevan; reaching it means following local roads toward Yeghvard and the surrounding area.
