YEREVAN BASIC SCHOOL № 116 NAMED AFTER SAMVEL HOVSEPYAN State Non-Profit Organization (SNPO)

Yerevan Basic School № 116 teaches children through basic grades in the Malatia-Sebastia district, at the Araratyan 2nd massif, under the name of Samvel Hovsepyan and the direction of Tagouhi Hovhannisyan. It operates as a state non-profit organization, open weekdays from 08:00 to 16:00, closed Saturday and Sunday.

In May 2025 the school's website carried an announcement about the regional stage of a teacher conference called "Innovative Teacher, Strong State," run under the education ministry's KZNAK foundation initiative and set for May 15, open to school directors, deputy directors and teachers. Separately, for an application window running August 26 to September 8, 2026, the school advertised teaching vacancies: a primary-grade teacher (dasvar), two positions for a subject listed only under the abbreviation ԹԳՀԳ (the full name isn't given in the announcement), and a physics teacher. Applications were to be submitted weekdays, 09:00 to 14:00.

The school is in Yerevan's Malatia-Sebastia district, at the Araratyan 2nd massif, roughly 4 km southwest of the city center (straight-line).
