The Yerevan Botanical Garden is the plant-collection body of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences, set in the Avan district in the northeastern part of the city. It spreads across roughly 80 hectares of semi-arid land at 1,240 meters elevation.

The collection holds more than 200 species of endemic, rare, and declining plants. Researchers use the site to study Armenian flora and how plant species interact ecologically, in conditions close to their natural state.

The garden sits in Yerevan's Avan district, roughly 5 km northeast of the city center (straight-line).

As a working plant collection, what's in bloom or on display shifts through the growing season, so the experience varies noticeably by month.
