Yerevan History Museum
Музей истории Еревана · Երևանի պատմության թանգարան
The Yerevan History Museum covers the story of the city, from its founding museum days in 1931 — when it started out as the Communal Museum — to the present. It now operates from a building attached to Yerevan City Hall, designed by architect Jim Torosyan.
It's a city-history museum in the plainest sense: one institution, one building, tracking Yerevan itself rather than Armenia at large. Open Monday to Saturday, 11:00 to 17:30; closed Sundays and public holidays.
The museum sits in Yerevan itself, roughly 1 km west-southwest of the city center (straight-line), attached to the City Hall building.
