Zoravar Andranik

Zoravar (General) Andranik honors Andranik Ozanyan, a figure regarded as a national hero of the Armenian people. The statue stands on Tigran Mets avenue, part of Yerevan's Kentron ring boulevard, close to the Cathedral of St. Gregory the Illuminator.
Sculptor Ara Shiraz, a People's Artist of Armenia, made the piece; architect Aslan Mkhitaryan handled the surrounding setting. It was installed in 2002.
The monument sits in central Yerevan, on Tigran Mets avenue near St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral — about 1 km south-southeast of Yerevan's center, straight-line.
