Abelyan Art School

Abelyan Art School is a private acting school based in Yerevan, run under the name of Abel Abelyan. It holds admissions not only in Yerevan but also in Gyumri, Vanadzor, Abovyan, Etchmiadzin, Ashtarak, Artashat, Ijevan, Charentsavan, Martuni and Vayk, and it runs online courses alongside in-person classes.

The school structures training around two semesters. In the first, professional screenwriters write a short web-series script for the students, with each student cast in one of the lead roles; a known actor is then brought in to appear alongside them, along with a professional film production company to shoot the series. The school says the first screening takes place on a cinema screen, with a red carpet and photographers present. In the second semester, students move on to a full-length web film, again with lead roles, followed by a stage performance in professional theater.

The school is in Yerevan, roughly 2 km west-northwest of the city center in straight-line distance.
