Aghja
Агджа · Աղջա
Aghja is a mountain summit in the Syunik plateau, rising to 2,188 meters roughly 6-7 kilometers west of Sisian. It also appears in older records under the name Akhcha, a variant used by the ethnographer Yervand Lalayan.
There isn't much more on record about it beyond its position and height — a plain summit marker on the plateau rather than a site with its own documented history.
Aghja sits in Syunik region, about 6-7 km west of Sisian town, roughly 142 km east-southeast of Yerevan in a straight line.
As a plateau summit above 2,000 meters, conditions favor the warmer months for any approach; snow cover should be expected outside summer.
