Aknakhagh
Акнахах · Ակնախաղ
Aknakhagh is a mountain summit in the central part of the Aregouni range, in Gegharkunik region. It rises to 2,472 m on the left bank of the Khaghkan river, about 2.5 km north of the village of Artanish.
There's little recorded about the peak beyond its position and height — it's a landmark for orientation in this stretch of the Aregouni range rather than a destination with facilities or marked routes.
Aknakhagh sits in Gegharkunik region, roughly 81 km east-northeast of Yerevan (straight-line), just north of Artanish village on the left bank of the Khaghkan river.
As with any peak above 2,400 m, snow cover and weather through winter and early spring will affect access to the surrounding slopes.
