Azgats

Azgats is a hot spring near the town of Areni, in Vayots Dzor province. It's classified as a thermal spring rather than a plain cold-water spring, though no records give its temperature, flow rate, or any built spring-house.

Little else about Azgats survives in available sources: no name origin, no use history, no visitor facilities are noted anywhere. What's documented amounts to its category, its region, and its position near Areni — enough to place it on a map, not enough to describe beyond that.

Azgats lies in the Areni area of Vayots Dzor province, roughly 70 km southeast of Yerevan in a straight line.
