Dashkend Yal
Дашкенд Ял · Դաշքենդ Յալ
Dashkend Yal is a mountain summit in the Lesser Caucasus range, sitting on the watershed between the Goris and Hagari rivers. It reaches an elevation of about 2,753 meters and lies roughly 5.5 km northeast of the town of Goris, in Syunik province.
There's little written about the peak beyond its position and height — no marked trail, no facilities, nothing else on record. That makes it a point on the map more than a destination with infrastructure, useful mainly as a landmark for orienting yourself in the hills above Goris.
Dashkend Yal sits in Syunik province, about 5.5 km northeast of Goris. In relation to Yerevan, it's roughly 173 km east-southeast, straight-line.
At nearly 2,753 meters, expect snow cover through the colder months and the clearest access on foot in summer and early autumn.
