Hin Karashen Church

Hin Karashen Church dates to 1551 and belongs to the Armenian Apostolic tradition. It stands alone at the site of Hin Karashen (Old Karashen), the earlier settlement that the present-day village of Karashen replaced.

There's little else on record about it beyond the build date and its location on the old village ground — no later history, no restoration notes, nothing more specific than that.

The church sits near Karashen village in Syunik region, close to Goris, about 176 km east-southeast of Yerevan as the crow flies.
