Gazana Lernantsk

Gazana Lernantsk (Gazana Pass) crosses the southern Zangezur mountains of Syunik at 3,112 meters, marking the divide between the upper reaches of the Geghi and Kart rivers. It sits 1.5 km northeast of Gazanalich, a lake that shares its name.

There's little built or documented here beyond its position on the map — this is a high mountain saddle, not a site with structures or a marked history. Its value is orientation: it's the point where two river systems begin to separate.

The pass lies in Syunik region, about 12 km northwest of Kajaran, roughly 168 km southeast of Yerevan in a straight line.

At 3,112 meters, snow cover likely limits access for much of the year, with summer and early autumn the more passable window.
