Gazanalich

Gazanalich is a lake set in the crest section of the Zangezur mountains in Syunik region, roughly 11 km northwest of Kajaran. It sits at the source of the Geghi river.

The lake also appears under several older names — Gazana, Gazan, Kazan, Ghazan, and Ghazangyol among them — a sign it's been marked and referred to for a long time on regional maps.

Gazanalich lies in Syunik region, about 11 km northwest of Kajaran, up in the crest of the Zangezur range. Straight-line, it's roughly 167 km southeast of Yerevan.

At crest elevation in the Zangezur mountains, snow and ice likely restrict access for much of the year — plan around the warmer months.
