Gndasari Mountains

The Gndasari Mountains run 16 km along the western edge of the Vardenis range, stretching from Gndasar peak to the Vardenyats pass. The highest point is Mkasar, at 2,947 m.

The southern slopes drop steeply. Mountain-meadow steppe covers much of the terrain, the kind of grassy, high-altitude ground typical of Armenia's ridge country.

The range sits in Vayots Dzor, roughly 64 km east-southeast of Yerevan as the crow flies.

Steep southern slopes and high-altitude meadow terrain make this ground best suited to snow-free months.
