Ministry of Environment of Armenia

The Ministry of Environment of Armenia is the government office that issues environmental permits and licenses, reviews environmental impact assessments, and approves technical norms and agreements tied to environmental matters. Hambardzum Matevosyan heads the ministry.

Its listed areas of work include air and ozone-layer protection, water resource management, climate change, land resources and subsoil use, waste management, forest management, and oversight of protected natural areas, plus environmental monitoring. These are the ministry's own stated divisions of responsibility rather than a description of results.
