RA Food Safety Inspection Body

The RA Food Safety Inspection Body is the state agency responsible for inspecting food, plant health and veterinary safety across Armenia. It's a Yerevan-based government office rather than anywhere you'd wander into as a visitor — the kind of institution that shows up in the paperwork behind a restaurant's health certificate or a shipment crossing the border, not in a guidebook.

Its published remit covers food safety, phytosanitary (plant health) control, veterinary oversight, quarantine checkpoints and border inspection, with compliance findings reported publicly. Tigran Petrosyan heads the inspectorate.
