National Institute of Standards and Metrology

SARM — the National Institute of Standards and Metrology — is the state body handling standardization, product certification and metrology testing in Armenia. It operates under Armenia's government and lists on its site a range of certification services, including product conformity assessment, management system certification and services certification.

Its testing laboratories cover several fields: food raw materials, radioelectronic equipment, petroleum products, and physicochemical analysis. The institute also develops national standards, offers training courses and expert qualification programs, and maintains cooperation with international standards bodies including ISO and CEN. It also serves as Armenia's WTO enquiry point and provides support services to businesses on technical specifications and standards registration.

Located in Yerevan, roughly 3 km north of the city center in straight-line distance.
