Khachkar Shaghupat Aghi

хачкар Шагупат аги · Խաչքար Շաղուպաթ աղի

Khachkar Shaghupat Aghi is a khachkar (carved cross-stone) entered on Armenia's state list of immovable history and culture monuments, which is what sets it apart from the countless uncatalogued khachkars scattered across Gegharkunik. It stands in Gavar's northeastern district, on the grounds of the Dari Glukh fortress.

Within that site, the stone rests in the western part of the St. Stepanos chapel cemetery, leaning against a modern grave. Its registry number is 5.1/2.1.18.

Gavar sits in Gegharkunik region, about 56 km east-northeast of Yerevan in a straight line; the khachkar is on the town's northeastern edge, at the Dari Glukh fortress site.
