Khndzoruti Mountains

горы Хндзорут · Խնձորուտի լեռներ

The Khndzoruti Mountains form a ridge in northeastern Armenia, running from the Miapor mountain range down to where the Akhinja and Khndzorut rivers meet. The range stretches roughly 40 km, and its highest point is Lortnuk mountain, at 2114 m.

Geologically it's a fold-block ridge built from Jurassic-period volcanic rock. Its slopes are cut through by ravines and covered in forest.

The range sits in Tavush region, in Armenia's northeast, about 90 km northeast of Yerevan in a straight line.
