Lortnuk
Лортнук · Լորտնուկ
Lortnuk reaches 2,114 meters in the Khndzorut mountain range, on the line dividing Armenia's Tavush region from Azerbaijan's Getabek district. The village of Aygedzor lies about 18 kilometers to its northeast.
There's no record of a marked trail or any built infrastructure here — this is a border summit, a fixed point on the ridge rather than a destination with facilities. Its significance is administrative and geographic: a named high point on a contested line, mapped and coordinated but otherwise undeveloped.
Lortnuk is in Tavush region, about 94 km northeast of Yerevan as the crow flies. Aygedzor, the nearest named village, sits roughly 18 km to the peak's northeast.
At just over 2,100 meters, snow is likely to linger well into spring, making summer and early autumn the more reasonable windows for reaching the ridge.
