Neghuts Vank

Негуц · Նեղուցի վանք

Neghuts Vank is a monastery built in the 10th or 11th century, set in a clearing on a hillside above the village of Arzakan in Kotayk province. It sits roughly 2 km northwest of the village center, overlooking the valley below.

The area holds a cluster of medieval religious ruins beyond the monastery itself: Ghuki Vank, a 13th-century monastic church; the church of S. Astvatsatsin (Holy Mother of God), dated to 1207; and the 13th-century ruins of Surb Gevorg (St. George).

Neghuts Vank lies in Kotayk province, about 2 km northwest of Arzakan village, roughly 32 km north of Yerevan as the crow flies.
