Okon castle

Okon castle is a fortress in Armenia's Tavush region, standing in open alpine meadow between 1,600 and 1,700 meters elevation. It sits on the left bank of the Tala, a tributary of the Aghstev river, about 25 km west of Enokavan village.
That's the height and setting on record — a remote pasture-line position above a river tributary. Beyond location and elevation, little else about the castle is documented.
Okon castle lies in Tavush region, roughly 25 km west of Enokavan village and about 92 km north-northeast of Yerevan in a straight line.
