Shahdagh range
Севанский хребет · Սևանի լեռներ
The Shahdagh range, also known as the Sevan range, is a mountain chain of the Lesser Caucasus system that runs for about 50 km along the northeastern shore of Lake Sevan, forming part of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan. It stretches southeast from the Kashatagh peak to the Eastern Sevan mountains.
The range's highest point, Satanakhach, reaches 3,319 meters — but that summit sits on the Azerbaijani side of the line. Inside Armenia, the tallest peak along the ridge is Perezak, at 3,290 meters.
The range lies in Gegharkunik, Armenia's easternmost marz, roughly 122 km east of Yerevan as the crow flies.
