Sharuqar

Sharuqar rises to 1,896 meters in the Ijevan mountain range, 12 kilometers west of the town of Ijevan in Tavush region. The terrain is folded, with most of its slopes covered in forest.

There's little built up around it — no facilities, no marked infrastructure in the record. It's a landscape feature first, a hiking destination only for those already comfortable routing themselves through Tavush's forested hill country.

Sharuqar sits in Tavush region, about 12 km west of Ijevan, roughly 91 km north-northeast of Yerevan as the crow flies.

Forested slopes mean the climb will be shadier and cooler than open ridgelines nearby — expect mud after rain and harder footing once snow settles in winter.
