Small Tsarasar
Покр Царасар · Փոքր Ծարասար
Small Tsarasar climbs to 3,424 meters at the point where the Eastern Sevan range and the Vardenis range converge, on the boundary between Gegharkunik and Artsakh. The summit sits in the ridge country south and east of Lake Sevan, at the far eastern edge of the province, where the two ranges effectively swap names.
No trail is on record here. No hut, no marker, no visitor infrastructure of any kind — this is unmapped ground as far as our sources go. Anyone planning to climb it should treat that gap as real information and confirm route and conditions locally before setting out.
Small Tsarasar sits in Gegharkunik marz, roughly 120 km east-southeast of Yerevan, close to the boundary with Artsakh. It lies well beyond any town center, out in the high ridge country at the province's eastern edge.
At 3,424 meters, snow likely lingers into late spring and returns early in autumn, so summer is probably the more realistic window — worth confirming conditions locally rather than assuming.
