Tsarasar

Царасар · Ծարասար

Tsarasar, also known as Keti, is the highest summit of the Eastern Sevan mountain range, rising right on the line where Armenia's Gegharkunik region meets Artsakh. The peak is built from Paleogene-Neogene volcanic-sedimentary rock, laid down tens of millions of years ago as a mix of volcanic and sediment layers. Above the rock, the landscape turns to mountain meadow (alpine grassland typical of high ridgelines) rather than forest or bare stone.

There's no settlement at the peak itself — it functions as a boundary marker and a high point on the ridge, not a destination with facilities.

Tsarasar sits in Gegharkunik region, roughly 115 km east of Yerevan as the crow flies, on the ridge marking the boundary with Artsakh.
