Association for Elderly Health and Care Provision

The Association for Elderly Health and Care Provision works on geriatric medicine and community-based elder care in Armenia. It runs a training program in geriatrics for primary healthcare doctors, taught by Artur Torosyan and Tigran Chilingaryan — the association describes them as the first physicians in Armenia to hold internationally recognized qualifications in the field.

The association says it has built a national team of qualified geriatric doctors and opened a gerontology center called Mets Masrik (literally, "Great Masrik") in Gegharkunik region. It also represented Armenia at an international forum on healthy longevity held in Moscow.

Starting July 1, 2026, it began testing a new model of multifunctional social services in Vardenis, also in Gegharkunik. Its published material argues that community-level experience in elderly care should be turned into policy proposals rather than stay local.
