Чгнавор · Ճգնավոր

Tshgnavor is a peak in Syunik region, sitting on the crest line of the Meghri mountains at 3,024 m (some records give 3,023 m). Older names for it include Chekhnavor, Chikhnavor, and Chikhnovar.

The peak is built from Paleogene-Neogene rock, and its upper slopes carry a mountain-meadow landscape rather than forest or bare rock.

Tshgnavor sits in Syunik region, on the Meghri mountain crest, about 198 km southeast of Yerevan as the crow flies.

At over 3,000 m, the meadow slopes are best judged for snow cover before any approach outside summer.
