Dramatical Theatre after Stanislavski
Театр имени Станиславского · Ստանիսլավսկու անվան դրամատիկական թատրոն
The Dramatical Theatre after Stanislavski is Yerevan's state Russian-language drama theatre. Its current bill mixes genres: a 40-minute one-man show for adult audiences, a comedy adapted from a Neil Simon play under director Suren Shahverdyan, and a one-act tragicomedy built on Patrick Süskind's "Double Bass."
The theatre also runs a separate program for children alongside its adult repertoire. A New Stage within the building has hosted recent premieres, among them "Contrabass" and "Hamlet. Collapse." The troupe includes Irina Marchenko, a People's Artist of Armenia.
The theatre sits within Yerevan itself, about 1 km north-northeast of the city center in straight-line distance.
