Русский драматический театр имени К.С. Станиславского · Կ. Ս. Ստանիսլավսկու անվան ռուսական դրամատիկական թատրոն
The Russian Drama Theatre named after K.S. Stanislavsky has run in Yerevan since 1937. It's currently directed by Suren Shahverdyan.
The repertoire mixes genres: a one-man show called "Neyesenin" by Babken Zakaryan, a comedy adapted from Neil Simon ("Rumatch the Romantic"), a tragicomedy based on Patrick Süskind's "Double Bass," and "Wine-House," a play by Sara Nalbandyan staged by David Khalatyan. The theatre also runs a children's program alongside its main-stage shows.
Among the artists associated with the company is Irina Marchenko, People's Artist of Armenia, born September 4, 1934.
The theatre sits in Yerevan, about 1 km north-northeast of the city center in straight-line terms.
